Coaching Overview

Carol is an Executive Coach & Mentor and Independent Consultant, with extensive experience in the fields of Finance, Retail, Hospitality,  Manufacturing, Off Shore Finance and Insurance, Pharmaceuticals, Government Departments and Agencies.  The size of organisation ranges from micro businesses to large global blue chips. 

Carol is HR Director of Cullen Scholefield and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

Carol has worked at board level for 21 years in a wide range of sectors and has a strong focus on supporting and developing people within organisations, regardless of the level at which an individual operates. One of Carol’s many strengths is the development of teams and individuals so that together they can achieve the business goals and objectives.  Apart from executive coaching assignments Carol is currently working with Maureen Scholefield on the introduction of a mentoring scheme at a large hospital.

Present Focus

Carol is involved with numerous consultancy projects for a variety of organisations representing all sectors of business. Current areas of focus with a large client base include:

  • Executive & Individual coaching and mentoring of Directors, Managers from all functions (including newly appointed HR Directors)
  • Supporting a coaching network to train and develop internal coaches, monitor their practice and build a coaching network with a dedicated site on the organisation’s intranet
  • Facilitation of change via team building events and the use of psychometric tests where they add value and offer another dimension to the client
  • Developing managers to broaden their approaches to diversity and how to deal with conflict
  • Development of interpersonal sensitivity skills for a Sales and Marketing Team operating in Europe, Middle East and Africa
  • Facilitation of Business Planning sessions with Boards and Senior Management Teams
  • Conduct of HR Audits to ensure that HR departments are compliant
  • Using various psychometric instruments to assist teams to work together effectively to meet     demanding business goals and enhance performance and talent management activities

Professional Development

Carol has a Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Ergonomics.  She is a member of the British Psychological Society, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

Carol has a wealth of ongoing experience as an Executive & Individual Coach and Mentor,  and has continuing work for organisations such as Glaxo SmithKlien, Allied Irish Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Friends Provident, Boots, AXA, Zurich, Vinci, Ministry of Defence, OFSTED, Novartis, Department of Work and Pensions, The Foreign and Commonwealth Office, ACAS Civil Aviation Authority, Faurecia, HCA Healthcare, Arts Council, M&C Saatchi, National Army Museum, States of Guernsey.
