Group Training Skills

It is often said that knowledge is power. We prefer to say that if you want to progress you need to have a well trained team who you can delegate to!

If you want to share your knowledge you need to be able to analyse the key components, draw up a training session plan, prepare materials, put over your topic by being logical and taking into account the learning needs of your delegates.

Aim:

Focusing on how to share knowledge by analysing the topic, delegates will explore the ways of planning, designing and delivering a training session within the context of the real life scenario of their workplace.

Objectives:

By the end of this workshop delegates will be able to:

  • Describe how people learn
  • Write a behavioural objective that is measurable
  • Structure and use good questions to help learning
  • Apply a range of techniques to ensure that their training sessions are interactive and fun
  • Practice effective questioning and listening skills
  • Prepare training notes and supporting materials
  • Use a range of visual support techniques

Methods:

This two day workshop will be highly participative. Delegates will be able to practice their training techiques by carrying out two sessions, with tutor guidance and feedback.
