Successful Presentations
Can you recall a presentation that really wowed you? What was it that was so good? How did it press all the right buttons? The ability to deliver presentations with impact is a key skill within the business environment. Whether the purpose is direct sales, or to brief a concept – a presentation will always involve the selling of an idea or ideas. If the delivery of presentations is a requirement of your role, and you feel the need to refine and develop your skills, or the delivery of presentations is a new requirement, which fills you with trepidation, then this workshop is for you.
Aim:
To enable delegates plan, produce and present presentations with impact
Objectives:
At the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:
- Identify with clarity exactly what a presentation is intended to achieve – focusing on ‘Unique Selling Points’ (USP’s)
- Use various planning tools to create structure and focus to a presentation, including mind mapping
- Structure a presentation so that ideas flow
- State the key requirements of visual support materials – PowerPoint slides and other supporting materials
- Identify ways of overcoming nerves
- Deliver a presentation with confidence and sell your idea(s) effectively
Methods:
This is a highly participative workshop utilising tutor input, practical exercises, including the creation and delivery of a presentation.
