National Debates in HRD

This workshop explores the current debates about HRD and, through active group participation, makes sense of and relates to the context of the work environment.
Aim:
To examine the background to and the practical application of current debates about HRD and identify how positive outcomes can be obtained by practical application.
Objectives:
By the end of this workshop delegates will be able to:
- State the meaning and relevance of HRD in the context of your work environment
- List the key components and trends of current HRD National Debates and relate these to the real life world of the workplace
- Identify how current National Debates about HRD might lead to greater organizational efficiency
- Explore common reactions to National Debates in HRD in order to understand why they might be met with resistance
- Summarise the key components of National Debates in HRD and state how these apply to your workplace
Methods:
This one day workshop will involve active discussions around existing National Debates in HRD and how these apply to the context of individual delegate’s work places.
