Grievance and Disciplinary Interviews

Are you able to state with confidence the key differences between the grievance and the Disciplinary interview? Can you describe the key steps in the process for each? Are you aware of where the common pitfalls are – and the consequences of getting it wrong? The Grievance and Disciplinary interview processes are not the sole responsibility of HR – line managers have a key function to play. This workshop will provide all the knowledge and practical skills you require to get it right with nothing left to chance – and avoid that very expense employment tribunal!

Aim: 

To provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to tackle grievance and disciplinary issues in accordance with appropriate legislation and best practice.

Objectives: 

At the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

  • Identify the most common causes of grievance and when to take action
  • Identify the most common offences that would result in a disciplinary interview being necessary.
  • Identify the appropriate legislative framework within which to operate
  • Effectively plan, prepare for, conduct and follow up on grievance and discipline interviews

The workshop will be highly interactive with a combination of pre course activities, tutor input, group discussion, role play and case studies
