Psychometric tests are unsed in a number of different ways. They can be used to measure possible attainment as well as general intelligence or special aptitudes that individuals may possess.
Psychometric tests can be used as part of an assessment centre when recruiting for senior managers roles or graduate recruitment. We work with clients to identify the most appropriate tests for each situation. We recommend that psychometric testing is not used in isolation without using other techniques, such as assessing other management skills such as communication, interpersonal skill and presentation skills.
We use psychometric tests in development centres to help clients to identify their own development needs, strengths and skills. Tests such as Myers Brigg can be particularly effective when used in team building events or other management development programmes such as developing leaders.
